UNMC Munroe-Meyer Report Highlights On Partnership With Douglas County and ReConnect

“In order for positive action to take place, we need to feel calm, relaxed, and supported within our environment. For many of us, and especially for youth coming from high-stress or traumatic households, entering a space of peace and comfort allows the body to relax and the mind to become clearer. Being in this state of calm encourages learning, reduces stress and anxiety, and allows us to connect with ourselves and the world around us.”

~ Jen Armstrong, MSc, HERE Co-Founder

Cosy, healing environment

“Creating a space where everyone felt respected and valued was essential to the success of the program.”

Authenticity and Acceptance

“Building authentic connections between program staff and youth was more successful than simply instructing youth on what to do.”

soft interventions + non-traditional

“Instructors used non-traditional ways to engage youth as alternatives to the ‘hard curriculum’ youth are used to with current regimented or court-ordered programs.”

a first of its kind program

“Each interviewee noted that this program was the first of its kind and that it was a more compassionate approach to working with youth.”

here for you, for them

For Those Who Support Others

Our work is rooted in a love for caring for children, while also supporting those around them. Many of our programs extend guidance and resources to providers, educators, and family caregivers as well.

Evidence-Based Support

We have been part of research projects with UNMC Munroe-Meyer, the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and the University of Nebraska-Kearney, all with successful outcomes, and we use theory-based approaches to guide our work.

Customised Programs

We prioritise adapting our support to your needs, creating bespoke programs that effectively serve you, your organisation, and the families, teens, and children in your care, helping them thrive and achieve positive outcomes.

We Work Globally

Our journey began in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and we are proud to also operate in Omaha, Nebraska, with teams in both the UK and the US.
